About the Role:
The Workshop Department at BildGroup plays a critical role in supporting project delivery by ensuring fleet availability, reliability, and compliance. The team is responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, warranty management, and continuous improvement across a diverse plant and equipment fleet, enabling safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations across our projects.
At BildGroup, our Workshop Mechanics play a critical role in ensuring our plant, vehicles and equipment remain safe, reliable and service-ready to support project delivery. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the servicing, repair and preventative maintenance of plant, fleet and equipment within a centralised workshop environment.
How You’ll Make a Difference:
- Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Conduct inspections in line with OEM and maintenance schedules.
- Complete accurate job cards, service sheets and digital maintenance records.
- Perform plant risk assessments and ensure compliance with WHS requirements.
- Maintain workshop tools, equipment and diagnostic systems.
- Promote a strong safety culture and maintain high housekeeping standards.
- Communicate effectively with operators and site teams regarding asset readiness.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Certificate III in Mobile Plant or Mechanical Fitting (or equivalent).
- Heavy Vehicle Technician Accreditation (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in heavy vehicle or plant maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving capability and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage scheduled and routine maintenance activities.
- Commitment to safety, compliance and quality documentation.
