Are you ready to take the lead and make your mark by building something special from the ground up? This is a rare opportunity to join Bitu-mill (a BildGroup Company) as we expand into South Australia’s Facilities Maintenance sector. You’ll play a pivotal role in establishing our presence in the region—shaping the business direction, securing and delivering projects, and driving sustainable growth. Operating with a high degree of autonomy under the guidance of the National FM Manager, you will ultimately build a high-performing local team.

We’re seeking a self-starting, ambitious Facilities Maintenance professional with a strong commercial mindset and an established network of trusted contractors and suppliers across South Australia. As the Facilities Maintenance Manager, you’ll be the face of this new venture—leveraging your relationships to identify and secure opportunities, engage clients, and deliver high-quality FM services across the built environment and infrastructure sectors. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy, knows how to win and manage work, and is excited by the challenge of growing a new business stream within an established and well-resourced national organisation. 

About the role:

• Drive growth of Bitu-mill’s FM operations in South Australia by identifying and securing new opportunities.

• Deliver Facilities Maintenance projects from planning and estimation through to completion.

• Establish and manage a network of reliable subcontractors and suppliers.

• Ensure projects meet all safety, quality, and budget expectations.

• Operate with a high degree of autonomy, while maintaining alignment with national business objectives.

• Report directly to the National FM Manager and contribute to strategic planning and reporting. 

What You’ll Bring:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Facilities Maintenance, ideally in a project or operations leadership role.

• An entrepreneurial mindset with the proven ability to develop new business, prepare tenders, and build lasting client relationships.

• Strong financial and commercial acumen—confident in estimating, budgeting, and managing profitability.

• Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple concurrent projects with excellent delivery outcomes.

• Ability to leverage your well-developed industry network within the FM industry in South Australia, including subcontractors and suppliers.

• Relevant qualifications in Facilities Management, Project Management, Construction, Civil Engineering or similar.
