As we prepare to deliver the Barwon Heads Road Upgrade Stage 2, we’re inviting a supportive, proactive, and hands-on Safety Advisor (Cadet) to join our team. This is an 18-month project, commencing in July-August 2025, and a meaningful opportunity to gain real-world safety experience while contributing to a project that will shape the future of the Geelong community.

About the Role:

As a Cadet Safety Supervisor, you’ll play an important role in supporting a safe and well-organised work environment. Working closely with engineers, supervisors, and project managers, you’ll help guide daily site activities, foster a collaborative team culture, and ensure safety, care, and quality remain at the centre of everything we do.

How You’ll Make a Difference:

  • Take an active role in structured training, on-site mentoring, and hands-on learning to build your confidence and capability.
  • Partner closely with Project and Safety Managers to support safe, inclusive, and well-organised work environments.
  • Assist in shaping and maintaining safety systems that protect and empower everyone on site.
  • Help carry out site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, offering thoughtful, constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to incident investigations with care and curiosity, helping prevent future risks.
  • Stay informed on current legislation, industry trends, and evolving safety best practices.
  • Be a role model for open communication and a positive safety culture, leading with empathy and integrity.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • You’re currently studying or hold a Certificate III or IV in Work Health and Safety.
  • Any previous experience in road construction, especially in high-risk environments or HSEQ, is a valuable bonus.
  • You care deeply about people’s wellbeing and bring energy and passion to creating safer workplaces.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organised, and comfortable using tools like Microsoft Office to stay on top of tasks.
  • Clear, kind communication is one of your strengths, you know how to connect with different teams and personalities.
  • Hold a valid Driver’s Licence and White Card.

Why You’ll Love Working with Bild Group:

At Bild, we believe in building better together—through teamwork, trust, and respect. You’ll be joining a company that nurtures your professional development and celebrates your individual strengths.

These are just the beginning – we offer so much more:
