We are looking for a Senior Estimator who thrives on challenges, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about creating winning tenders. The role is based in Campbellfield, Victoria and reports into the Estimating Manager.

 If you love diving into the details, solving complex problems, play a critical role in securing high-value contracts ($1M - $100M) and working with a team of experts, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyse bid and tender documentation to ensure a complete understanding of project scope.
• Interpret drawings, geotechnical reports, cultural heritage, and environmental considerations.
• Develop smart, cost-effective construction methodologies in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Source, negotiate, and assess supplier and subcontractor quotes for compliance and competitiveness.
• Conduct cost breakdowns, risk assessments, and feasibility analyses to build accurate estimates.
• Ensure estimates include all labour, materials, plant, and time considerations.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Subcontractors to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead internal bid reviews, finalising submission documentation to present the best possible tenders.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and estimators, sharing your expertise and best practices.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• A Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
• 5-10 years’ experience in a similar estimating role within infrastructure projects.
• Experience in sports field construction, regional, and interstate projects is a bonus!
• A keen eye for detail and a knack for problem-solving.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• The ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously without missing a beat.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Expert Estimation Software (or similar estimating tools).
